My journey
One month ago I started a blog. My goal was to write about things I thought would be valuable to people. Every day, people ask me questions about career advice, nutrition, working out, etc. so, I began writing about these topics. Whenever someone asked me about something, or I saw a trend in the things people were asking me, I’d write about it.
Over the course of the month, there was one topic that became the most popular. That topic was job searching. People were asking me about cover letters, resumes, follow-up emails, networking, and everything about getting a job! I was honestly surprised. I’m not an expert at getting jobs. But, I’ve been through the recruitment process enough times that I have a decent amount of stuff to share. I gained some trust from a handful of loyal readers, and my goal was to serve them in any way I could.
The first article I wrote about job searching was to Get an Interview with any Company you Want. I wrote this to show what it takes to get the job you want. It’s not your resume or GPA that is going to get you the job, it’s your relationships. Invest in building strong relationships, and things will work in your favor.

What I learned
Long articles suck. You want something quick that answers your questions. Moving forward, I am going to keep my posts around 400–500 words

Interviews — I am going to start interviewing people who have gotten desirable jobs. My goal is to help you understand best practices about what it takes to get these jobs.
Job and internship board — My goal is to help freshmen and sophomores (those who struggle to get internships with top companies because of their age and lack of experience), get job internships and jobs. I am going to connect with small businesses and startups to seek out internship and job opportunities. I am super excited about this. A lot of my freshmen and sophomore readers struggle to find jobs and internships. My goal is to connect with businesses with ambitious students who want real-world experience.
