A Beginner Fitness Professional’s Blueprint for Building Profitable Products
Most fitness professionals do not earn a lot of money. The average hourly wage is ~$28 per hour. But with the right offerings, fitness trainers can boost their earnings.
I’m not a trainer yet, but here is a framework I pulled from Tim Ferris’s 4-Hour Body that is useful in identifying and organizing opportunities for building successful fitness products.
There are 4 popular goals for people when it comes to their bodies. Almost all fitness products address one of these goals. In this post, I’ll share each goal and a real-life product associated with that goal:
1 — Rapid Fat-Loss
Ryan Fischer’s Earn Your Carbs Nutrition Program teaches customers how to create their own macro-based meal plan that is specific to their body, fitness level, and goals.
2 — Rapid Muscle Gain
Chris Bumstead’s — 4x Mr. Olympia Champion — Cbum Fitness App helps customers reach their ultimate physique with exclusive membership content, weight tracking, detailed exercise information, and a supportive community
3 — Rapid Strength Gain
CrossFit Invictus’s Strength Program helps customers build strength and lift more weight by building their base lifts; squat, bench press, overhead press, and deadlift.
4 — Rapid Sense of Total Well-Being
Oura Rings help customers understand and improve their sleep so that they can better their health, improve their mood, and increase their energy.
When it comes to creating fitness products, almost all products fall into one of these four categories. If you are a newbie fitness professional, consider building products that align with one of these four fitness goals.
